Beyond Baroque Bookstore Debuts Book Hour: A BOGO Summer Special

Throughout the month of August, the Scott Wannberg Bookstore at Beyond Baroque will offer discounts on books and vinyl, raffles and rewards, half-off student memberships, and more.

Venice, Calif. (August 1, 2023) – Providing an opportunity to warmly welcome local residents, visitors, and students to its robust independent bookstore, Beyond Baroque is introducing a summer Book Hour, August 3 to 31, Thursday-Saturday, from 2 to 6 p.m. For its special Book Hour, the Scott Wannberg Bookstore at Beyond Baroque will be offering discounts on new and used books, vinyl, and select merchandise, raffles and rewards, half-off student memberships, and new and renewal membership perks throughout August. Starting mid-month, the bookstore will offer buy-one-get-one (BOGO) free on used books. Located in Venice, Calif., close to Abbott Kinney and Venice Beach, Beyond Baroque aims to increase discovery of its bookstore as a destination by inviting newcomers and regulars to Book Hour.

To make Book Hour extra fun and engaging, the bookstore will feature the following and more:

• refreshments
• vinyl spinning
• raffles and games (Thursday, August 31: raffles for signed copies of Shaky Town by Lou Matthews)
• free zine workshops (Friday, Aug. 24, and Sat., August, 25, 4-6 PM, supplies provided)
• curated staff book picks (in-store and on TikTok / BookTok)
• $19.99 (reg. $25) for Beyond Baroque’s iconic black “Metaphors Be With You” tee

In addition, Beyond Baroque will be offering membership premiums throughout Book Hour. The mini-membership campaign will include back-to-school discounted student memberships at just $20 (50% off) during August (and September). Any new or renewal memberships that occur at the bookstore in August will receive Beyond Baroque (BB) special premium perks, while supplies last:
